THE CUTEST HOUSE IN BALLARD

I have had the honor and pleasure of listing this wonderful home, owned by the wonderful, beautiful and talented Keri Petersen of KP Spaces.

Hello, Gorgeous.

Hello, Gorgeous.

After years of staging and helping my clients, Keri became my client.  So, while the process of staging and styling her own home was stressful, look at how well she pulled it off! A home straight Pin-worthy.

Huge living room that gets tons of light. A chevron rug, vintage tables, reupholstered chairs, brass table, and all the cool things only Keri can assemble complete her adorable home.

One thing I've always valued about Keri's sense of style is her ability to implement fun and accessibility. It's approachable. And when you're in a space designed by KP Spaces, you have a sense of home while still feeling a touch fancy. The "Hey Ya'll" sign was inspired by Keri from a similar sign she had seen online. I love it.

Kitchen view into the living room.

A white on white kitchen. Who doesn't love that? The pendant lights are a creative find on Etsy. And the branch art hanging in the kitchen can be replicated via Keri's blog post on Branch Chic

The details are always the most interesting and fun part of Keri's designs. It helps that this house gets amazing light, and is almost 100 years old, exuding undeniable charm.

Refreshing, clean, and happy.

Home wasn’t a set house, or a single town on a map. It was wherever the people who loved you were, whenever you were together. Not a place, but a moment, and then another, building on each other like bricks to create a solid shelter that you take with you for your entire life, wherever you may go.

House. Beautiful.

House. Beautiful.

Shelves with pretty white things.

Simple statement, big impact.

And of course, a robin's nest because it's Ballard and you have to put a bird on it in some way.

Black trim combined with wainscoting, yes please.

I'm in love with this wall color.

To give the bathroom a mini-facelift, Keri replaced the vanity counter and added a vessel sink with some new hardware. She then painted her claw foot bathtub black (tres chic!) and painted the window trim black and the walls a deep gray blue. She also added a flush drum light to give it a more modern feel. Complimented by a horizontal shower curtain that pulls it all together. Love it all over.

Master bedroom with a secret.

North and west windows with a vintage chandelier.

A doorway leads upstairs to a special room.

So...yeah. Pin me.

Boom. A real life Pinterest office space, studio, yoga room, escape, etc. Exposed 90 year old wood, and painted on the wood at some point, the word "sleep." How amazing is this space?

A basement bedroom never looked this cute.

A girl's dream room.

Second bedroom is dreamy!

French doors, south facing windows, west facing windows, fir floors, chandelier.

An artist's corner.

The unfinished basement shows a rich history of what was once a cellar. Now used as an artist's corner, a place to retreat with a bright window providing the perfect light.

Backyard patio.

This home is special. It has an air about it that feels so welcome and happy. The Petersens have done an amazing job of creating a home and space that shows just how well a small house can be stylish and chic and amazing. This family is very close to my heart and I will actually miss this house after it is sold.

{**After one day on the market, I was holding 3 offers in my hands. Have I mentioned it's worth it to hire a designer for your home?}
