Last week I attended the Global Networking Event for all of Sotheby's International Realty affiliates. It was in Miami at the notable Fountainbleu oceanfront resort. I've never been to Miami. It was awesome! And as a bonus, I was asked to speak about content marketing, the idea that marketing can go beyond the typical ads that can often fall flat. Engaging with the audience is key to selling real estate for top dollar! I was flattered but believe in the idea that with proper marketing, content using context, is what makes a huge difference in selling homes successfully!

To start the morning's general session, a range of exceptional people spoke to the 1,400 attendees, including Philip White, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, Wendy Purvey, Chief Marketing Officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, and Alfredo Gangotena, Chief Marketing Officer of Worldwide Sotheby’s. Realogics Sotheby's International Realty is making a splash this year, as four of our own have been asked to speak at the event on various panels. Dean Jones, Owner and CEO of Realogics Sotheby's International Realty, will discuss how to build international business with Asia, as Asian investors represent a large and growing part of international real estate purchases. This panel focuses on best practices related to developing your global clientele and leveraging it to grow your overall business. Cassie Daughtrey & Scott Wasner, brokers at Realogics Sotheby's International Realty, will be participating in agent panels on content marketing, the art of communicating without selling. 8 in 10 consumers say they would rather learn about a product or service via articles than an advertisement. In these sessions, Cassie and Scott will discuss the ways in which they leverage content in their local marketing and social media.
